One and Done Program

We offer start-to-finish college admissions guidance for families who want support throughout the entire high school journey. But we also understand that a full multi-year program may not fit every family’s goals, timeline, or budget. That is why we created our One & Done College Admissions Strategy Session — a focused, two-hour consultation designed to give families a clear overview of the admissions process and a practical roadmap they can use on their own. While this session is not intended to replace comprehensive college counseling, it will help you better understand the key pieces of the process and tailored plan moving forward.
What’s Covered
During your two-hour session, we will walk through the major pieces of the college admissions process and help your family understand what matters most for your student.
Application Preparation
We will explain the overall application process, what colleges are looking for, and how students can begin preparing a stronger application.
Deadlines & Timeline
We will review the key admissions deadlines and help you understand when students should be working on testing, essays, applications, recommendations, scholarships, and other important steps.
College Selection Strategy
We will discuss how to build a balanced college list, including reach, target, and likely schools, while considering academic fit, location, cost, size, campus culture, and student goals.
Essay Planning
We will explain the role of the college essay, what makes a strong topic, common essay mistakes, and how students should approach the drafting process.
Standardized Testing: ACT vs. SAT vs. CLT
We will review the major testing options, discuss which test may make the most sense for your student, and outline a practical testing timeline.
Financial Aid & Scholarships
We will provide an overview of financial aid basics, scholarship considerations, and important cost-related factors families should understand early in the process.
Bright Futures & Florida-Specific Planning
For Florida families, we will discuss Bright Futures requirements and how Florida public universities fit into the broader admissions strategy.
Personalized Next Steps
At the end of the session, your family will leave with a clearer understanding of where your student stands, what to prioritize, and what steps to take next.
