Exceptional Student Education

I have been an educator for nearly thirty years. I taught high school English since 1999 and have been a school counselor since 2003.

During my time as a public school educator, I have worked with every demographic of K-12 students, at every ability level, including AP, honors, and ESE students.  I have also had the unique experience of working in a college admissions office in NJ, where I gained helpful insight into the student selection process. Three of my six licenses (listed in the column to the left) are administrative, which helps me take a more global perspective of a student's strengths and goals.

Working inside a high school counseling office is what prompted me to become an educational consultant.  I have worked with some of the finest school counselors in the country, who genuinely care about their students.  Unfortunately, there is only so much one school counselor can do. Often, counselors have caseloads that exceed 500 students.  Despite their best efforts and intentions, school counselors are not able to offer individualized assistance to coach a student and their families through the complicated nuances of course and school selection. This frustrated me.

Now I can do more.

Our programs are structured and specific, but also tailored to each individual student's needs and goals.  We include parents in the process and have transparent access to everything we do. The standards and criteria to gain admission to college are constantly evolving. We keep current with these trends to help our students stay ahead of the curve.  Contact me for a free consultation about the services we offer and how we can help you get the one-on-one attention you deserve.

Our Educational Consultants

Angel Sletto,
School Counselor

Angelia Sletto is a licensed school counselor with extensive experience supporting high school students in academic planning, college preparation, and dual enrollment pathways. She has served students at Nease High School and Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, and currently holds the role of Dual Enrollment Coordinator and Early College Director at Tocoi Creek High School.

Prior to her work in school counseling, Ms. Sletto served in higher education as an instructor at Rice University, Belmont University, and Austin Peay State University, as well as multiple community colleges. Her combined background in secondary and postsecondary education uniquely positions her to guide students through the transition to college with clarity, strategy, and confidence.

Ms. Sletto is an active supporter of student academic and extracurricular development. She is the parent of three children: one currently attending the United States Merchant Marine Academy, another pursuing collegiate lacrosse recruitment, and a third developing passions in theater and vocal performance. These experiences allow her to relate deeply to families navigating competitive college admissions, arts pathways, and NCAA recruitment.

Outside of her professional work, she enjoys athletics, theatre, and time outdoors. Above all, Ms. Sletto is dedicated to helping young adults discover their strengths, identify purposeful goals, and confidently pursue postsecondary success.

Vicki Miller,
Director of English

Vicki Miller comes to us with more than twenty-five years of experience in secondary education. Vicki is a seasoned English educator and instructional leader.

She has dedicated the last twenty-one years to Clay High School, where she serves as English Department Chair and teaches a rigorous portfolio of advanced coursework, including AP Literature, AP Seminar, AP Research, and Honors English I. Through these courses, she works with students across multiple grade levels, many of whom pursue competitive college and university pathways.

In addition to her leadership within the English department, she is a College Board AP Literature Exam Reader, contributing to national scoring and assessment standards since 2021. Her expertise in curriculum design, literary analysis, and college-level writing instruction supports a strong record of student achievement in AP, honors, and postsecondary readiness.
